Meet the team
The idea of Vet Crew was born during a phone call on a hot summer afternoon in 2020.
Aurora and Erika had just stopped working side by side and already missed working together!
To eliminate distances between colleagues and, more specifically, between primary care practices and specialists, the idea of Vet Crew was born.
We want to take the knowledge and expertise we've built over the years directly to primary care, to make the most impact for the animals and for the people that care for them.
We both juggle very busy lives (parenting, long commute, grown-up responsibilities), yet we want to remain committed to lifelong learning, and our mission is to take as many vets as possible on this journey.
Our values include dynamism, approachability, inclusion and integrity.
Go on and read our stories below!

The crew
Dr Aurora Zoff
DVM(Hons) CertAVP(VA) DipACVAA Dip ECVAA MRCVS
EBVS & RCVS Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia
I graduated from Bologna Veterinary School in 2009 with a few extra pounds due to the exquisite Emilian cuisine.
After a first working experience in Italy, thanks to the Riccardo Testa's Prize from Pfizer, I embarked on a journey to England. They follow an internship and a Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia residency at the University of Liverpool. In 2017, I became a Specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia with the American Diploma. In 2022, I then became a Recover BLS and ALS trainer.
In 2020, I decided, together with Erika, to get into play with a new dynamic and online project, VetCrew. I still like cooking and eating well; my passion for well-being led me to become a mental health first aider and a yoga and meditation teacher.

Dr Erika Bersan
DMV, MRCVS, DipECVN, FHEA
EBVS & RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Neurology
After graduation, I worked as a freelance professional in Italy, collaborating with the Neurology Department at the University of Bologna. In 2010, I started an Internship program in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Animal Health Trust (UK), followed by a Residency program in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Liverpool (UK), which followed the European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the RCVS specialist status.
Until 2020, I worked as a clinical neurology specialist at the University of Liverpool, first as a lecturer and then as a senior lecturer. I returned to Italy at the end of 2020.
I am the Head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Department at Malpensa Veterinary Clinic.
Some of my main interests are epileptic seizures, intracranial tumours and spinal diseases in dogs and cats. I am an author, co-author and reviewer of published articles in scientific journals and a speaker at national and international courses and conferences.
In clinics, I love the time spent in the operating room!
